I need a non-emo 'sleep/y/ing' icon.
Jun. 18th, 2007 07:35 pmSo. In total. I got up at seven fifteen this morning. We left at something like seven thirty-five. We arrived at our destination at something like nine fifty-five. We got on the river around ten thirty. We got out of the river once around noon and then again shortly after one. We went to eat lunch at about one forty. We left the town for home ...probably two-ish. We got home five twenty-five-ish. (Throughout the car ride, we listened to Ender's Game, the abridged version. Mom, Tomas and I spent a good number of minutes comparing what we remembered being there that had been cut. READ THE UNABRIDGED VERSION KIDS, IT'S BETTER.) I left the house again for the computer lab at five forty and arrived by a quarter to six. I have been there since, catching up on my friends list and looking up the definition of Revolving Door Comedy ("a [story] where two characters (or several pairs of two characters) have some kind of very simple goal that gets complicated and confused as time goes on, usually by means of people entering rooms at odd times, or just missing someone as they leave a room just as another person enters." is how I first learned it). It is now roughly seven thirty. I have, essentially, been on my ass for the last twelve hours. I am tired.
I'm going to round out today with a trip to the library to hunt down books that I want to read, and possibly to play a little more online. Tomorrow is my appointment with Dr. Kay, and with any luck, a CFUD fireflies post. ...Unless I should actually be making plans on CFO about this (which I don't think I need to, since I'm not planning for them to be 'special'?), in which case I'm going to need a better excuse for Sonoko not to have noticed them/figured out what they were before now. She spent four nights outdoors for cripe's sake, and only two of those were in the woods. There's only so much I can excuse. And yes. Tired.
Edit: Also, I feel compelled to mention that our wildlife sightings on the river trip totaled as follows:
* Three (3) Great Blue Herons
* Four (4) Canada Geese, two (2) of which were immature/goslings
* One (1) Turkey vulture from about thirty (30) feet away (and I can't believe I never thought them beautiful before)
* One (1) Green Heron
* Lots (more than I could count) of Painted Lady butterflies
