Ladies and Gents, I am very pleased to announce that, after a long weekend in which I was mostly dealing with other things (none of them emo-tastic, BTW, and CHEER UP AND/OR FEEL BETTER, PEOPLE WHO AREN'T DOING SO GOOD DDD: ), it's Update The Journal Time! In no particular order:

* My brother got the NASA internship he was hoping for, yay! ...He's still going to be in town (except for a week in '08 when he goes to Phoenix, Arizona), but he got the internship and he is happy and we are happy for him and also proud ♥♥♥ (Never think that I will stop bragging about my awesome family. It just won't happen. ...Even when I'm mad at them, I'll probably be bragging again in a week or two.)
* I have seen the third Pirates and Shrek movies and have thoughts on both of them! Which I will not be sharing here at the moment, 'cuz spoilers and stuff :P When I do, if I do, it'll certainly be cut and might also be whited out as well, depending on what else may be in the post.
* I have my first job for Anime Iowa! I get to send out confirmation e-mails (and snail mails) to people :3b (REMEMBER, IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO PRE-REGISTER AT A DISCOUNTED RATE, AND MY FOLKS WILL TOTALLY LET YOU CAMP OUT IN THE BACK YARD SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY FOR A HOTEL ROOM ♥ Also, free transportation will be provided. Or at least deeply discounted transportation, LOL public transit.) Whiiiich... I should probably be doing now. Er.
* It took twenty-seven episodes, but PGSM, the live-action Sailor Moon remake, has finally broken my brain. Just... WTF. If I don't see the Artemis equivalent of Luna's thing by the end of the show, I will be a sad fangirl. I mean, it wouldn't be any less crack-filled, but it would at least enable me to do cute shipping stuff.
* cfud_scans is up at a slow trot! Soon as I figure out a good format to set up projects, it might even be up and running.
* The Quire went to CR Pridefest, where there was a fairly good crowd, and three protesters. The protesters actually looked kinda lonely and pitiful, what with them having just signs and a megaphone, and us having this huge party-like thing going on and food and tents and big colorful umbrellas. I kinda felt bad for them. ...Which was a whole new dimension of weird, let me tell you.
* Wizards at War is out in paperback! So I had to buy it. Which means that it'll now be something like three weeks before I'm able to afford the latest Avatar DVD (which I just learned yesterday has commentary, which means it wins that much more in my eyes), but it's worth it.
* NEED TO GET BACK TO WORK ON APP HUMOR. Which I can do, really, I'm sure. Just because I thought a particular joke was funny doesn't mean everyone will.
* Aaaand I need to walk home today, so that's probably where I should cut this off, le sigh.

I thought Shrek 3 was okay. Better than I thought it would be. Artie was adorable, though. :D

Artie was awesome, and his voice actor has, through his various animated works, completely redeemed himself to me for the whole "gigantically successful boy band" thing. Except it definitely could've used more Arthurian Legends stuff in general DD: They went way light on that, I thought, which was justifiable, since it is/was a movie about Shrek (and handled his evolving character very well, I thought), but still. I was kinda hoping we'd get a third wise-talking sidekick out of this.

Seconding "Better than I thought it would be", though, which goes pretty well for all three Shrek movies.

I like the way they handled the Arthurian legends stuff, though. I, too, wish they had more of it, but the way they fit it into the theme worked out well.

XD That was so awesome. The entire way they handled [that character] was awesome, in fact. Also, A++ voice actor choice.

They were handled pretty well though now my King Art idea is going to look like a pale comparison, even though I came up with it in tenth grade :/ I'm also wondering how many people managed to catch the Gwendolyn reference. And yes. It fit well, but now I kinda want Artie to have his own movie. And then maybe a cameo by some Shrek characters, but definitely not a huge focus point.

Well, I didn't read the Magic Kaito one because I don't really know the canon. The King Art one was cute and really not bad for having been written in 10th grade. The Prometheus one was awesome. I loved the way you portrayed the relationship between them, and I really loved the ending. :D
And I've read the Persephone ones, but not Mascotverse... I should probably look that up.

Art totally had a loser hockey-jock BFF named Lance who was from Canada :Db ...I'm really not sure whether I was planning for him to have a huge crush on the cheerleader Gwen (Lance probably did) or on his unrelated-by-blood gothy step-sister Morgan (because I doubt I could pull an Angel Sanctuary out of this). I think it was Morgan. And there was something about the round Lunch Table and the Lady of the Lunch (Lady of the Cafeteria?) or something. But yeah. ...Maybe I'll make a short cartoon strip out of it someday.

Ah, okay. Yeah, Kaitou Kid doesn't show up until pretty far into it. Makes the story more interesting, though.
XD I think I may now. Though I'll either have to come up with a way to make him keep the sword (which would be boring, 'cuz this is the true rejection of the quest and stuff) or set it before he 'meets' the sword and end it slightly after.

But not really. Her color scheme aside from the purple was ripped from the manga though. :O So, I vote white, blue, and yellow for Artemis. He doesn't get pink, because I sort of like him and we save that for Diana. I thought she was an OC...

...Wait, blue and purple look alike AKA I got them switched up. Her hair is purple. LULZ. Yes, the blue is out of line her hair is supposed to be purple and black and gray. Ah, okay; and I'm thinking sensei meant it in terms of "highlights" or something, probably. Or the same way pet mice can be called 'blue' or 'violet', which really looks gray but supposedly has a sheen of those colors. Also, my brother is colorblind (red/green I think?) and I'm probably a carrier, so yeah, mixing them up = okay ¦D; AWESOME :DDb They were, yeah :/ Also, all the food in her transformation sequence. And either she was a kitten, or her age is literal human years rather than relative human years.

Joke apps are apps that people occasionally send in and are treated more-or-less like real apps, except the character doesn't get in even if they get over 70% yes. They were just sent in as a joke. (Side note, Renge almost sent in a joke app for Kio's Wife once, which was hilarious. Other joke apps I can think of off the top of my head were this really freakily religious guy and possibly also Pikachu. Don't know how much of a joke the latter was considered, really.)
