Crafting report
Dec. 5th, 2023 12:50 amOver the weekend, I took the time to stitch up my Christmas present for Dad! It's an extra-large chair cushion that can be attached to just about any chair.
...Except I fudged the measurements a little too much on the large side, and it looks like a couch cushion. Whoops! This would be less of a problem if I could just take it in on all dimensions, but it is as tall as I'd like it to be, so I'd need to re-stitch just the circumference. Times two. With the curved corners that I already struggled a bit with.
I mean, it's probably fine as-is? But at the same time, I do still have almost three weeks until Xmas, so I can go in and fix it. I don't have a lot of work left to do on anyone else's Xmas presents, though I do need to find something for elder nibling's birthday (which is five days before Xmas, and I have firmly decided to do what I can to make that a non-issue for elder nibling growing up). *sigh* I'll probably re-do it though. It'll be a pain, but I'm sure I'll be happier with the results.
In other news, I took a brief break from sewing Too Many Things to instead do a bit of crocheting! My stock of octopuses and flying pigs are way below where they should be, and I had a really nifty idea for a specific stingray that turned out totally rad. I'll probably keep crocheting for at least a few days and put off doing anything about the seat cushion for Dad in the meanwhile.
